German climbers, Sherpas reach summit of Himlung Himal

KATHMANDU: A team of German climbers successfully reached the summit of Himlung Himal (7,126m) early Sunday morning, according to Seven Summit Treks.
The summit team inacluded Heikon Weist, Peter Fischler, and Beate Hertel from Germany, supported by Sherpa climbers Lakpa Tenjen Sherpa, Ming Dorchi Sherpa, and Pemba Sherpa who also summited the peak.
“We are thrilled with the successful ascent and congratulate all our climbers and Sherpa team members. We wish them a safe return to base camp,” the company said.
