KATHMANDU: Now it’s 31 Everest summits for Pasang Dawa Sherpa (aka Pa Dawa), as the legendary climber made his second Everest summit of the season this morning, according to expedition officials.

Tendi Sherpa, owner of TSG Nepal and a UIAGM/IFMGA-certified mountain guide, said that Pa Dawa Sherpa summitted Everest for the 31st time this morning at 4:20 am on May 22.

“Pa Dawa is now descending safely to lower camps,” said Tendi, who has also scaled Everest 19 times this season, sharing from base camp. Pa Dawa was part of the TAG Nepal/Climbing the Seven Summits Everest expedition this season.

Pa Dawa is now just one summit behind Kami Rita Sherpa, who scaled Mt Everest for the 32nd time a few days ago. Earlier, Pa Dawa, a climber from Pangboche, scaled Everest for the 30th time on May 18.
