Samagau girl scales Manaslu at 22

KATHMANDU: A 22-year old woman from Samagau, Gorkha scaled the world’s eight highest mountain on September 23 becoming the youngest Nepali female to have scaled Mr Manaslu.

According to Mingma Dorchi Sherpa, Managing Director at Pioneer Adventure, Tsering Diki Lama, 22, from Chumnubri -1 Samagau stood atop Mt Manaslu becoming the youngest female from the country to reach the top of Manaslu.

Departing from base camp at 6 AM on Monday, she reached the peak of Manaslu at 10:50 AM on Tuesday, according to her sister Nangsyal Chhoden Lama.

“Tsering Diki and Nangsyal are also the first female siblings from Samagau to have scaled Manaslu,” Mingma Dorchi said.
