KATHMANDU: Imagine Nepal has wrapped up its autumn climbing season on Mt. Manaslu with its final summit team of six climbers reaching the 8,163-metre peak at 6:00 a.m. Friday.

The successful climbers are Zhang Yang of China; Singaporean mountaineer Phei Sunn Sim; and Nepali guides Dawa Gyalje Sherpa, Pasang Namgel Sherpa, Lakpa Tendi Sherpa, and Riten Jangbu Sherpa.

Zhang achieved a remarkable Kathmandu–Manaslu–Kathmandu round trip in only six days, while Lakpa Tendi made the ascent without supplementary oxygen—both standout feats in this year’s season, according to the Imagine Nepal.

This autumn, Imagine Nepal placed 41 climbers on Manaslu across three summit waves (Sept 21, 23 and 27), reinforcing the mountain’s appeal as Nepal’s premier 8,000-metre objective after the monsoon and highlighting the continued vitality of the country’s high-altitude tourism sector.
