14 Peaks Expedition reports successful summit and safe descent

KATHMANDU: A three-member team from 14 Peaks Expedition summited Mt. Ama Dablam (6,812m), one of Nepal’s most iconic Himalayan peaks, and returned safely to base camp.

The team comprised Rositsa Dimitrova Simeonovax (USA), Dominic Angelo Cifelli (USA), and Kami Temba Sherpa (Nepal). According to the expedition organizers, the climbers reached the summit and made a safe descent on October 24, marking another successful ascent in the ongoing autumn climbing season.

Ama Dablam, often called the Matterhorn — or the Jewel — of the Himalayas, is famed for its striking pyramid shape and technical challenges. The expedition praised the climbers for their teamwork, determination, and resilience throughout the climb.

“Another successful ascent and safe return from the Himalayas,” 14 Peaks Expedition said, extending congratulations to the entire team for their achievement.
