KATHMANDU: Nepal Tourism Board (NTB), in partnership with PATA Nepal Chapter, Nepal Airlines, and 14 private tourism companies, has successfully wrapped up its participation at the PATA Travel Mart 2025, held from August 26–28 at Bangkok’s Queen Sirikit National Convention Center.

The Mart, themed “Designing Meaningful Tourism for a Changing World”, drew over 1,000 delegates from 50+ destinations, featuring 400 exhibitors and 225 buyers—many attending for the first time.

Nepal’s three-day engagement included participation in the PATA Knowledge Forum, the Opening Ceremony and VIP Tour, structured B2B business sessions, and the PATA Gold Awards Gala Dinner. The Nepal Pavilion showcased adventure, trekking, heritage, culture, cuisine, and festivals, with the Virtual Tour to Nepal’s Spiritual Circuits drawing particular attention.

Over 30 structured business appointments were conducted on the final day, with buyers expressing keen interest in Nepal’s trekking, cultural circuits, and community-based tourism. Ambassador Dhana Bahadur Oli also visited the Pavilion, commending the joint effort of NTB, Nepal Airlines, PATA Nepal, and the private sector in positioning Nepal as a top Asia-Pacific destination.

“Our participation has been impactful and rewarding, reinforcing Nepal’s identity as a year-round Himalayan destination,” said Suman Ghimire, Senior Manager, NTB, noting the importance of speaking with “one unified voice” in the global marketplace.

The Nepal delegation included NTB officials, PATA Nepal CEO Suresh Singh Budal, Nepal Airlines representatives, and private sector partners. NTB emphasized that the exposure and opportunities from PTM 2025 align with Nepal’s long-term strategy of sustainable tourism growth and enriched visitor experiences.
