KATHMANDU: Founder of Nepal Dynamic Eco Tours, Doma Paudel, has been honored with the Bob & Jang/Xavier Academy Conservation Award 2025 for her remarkable contributions to wildlife conservation, community development, and sustainable tourism in and around Chitwan National Park.
The award, presented annually to recognize exceptional efforts in environmental preservation, celebrates Paudel’s two decades of dedication to fostering harmony between people and nature.
Paudel, who also received the WWF Conservation Award 2025 earlier this year, played a key role in forming community-based anti-poaching units, contributing to zero poaching milestones and the recovery of tiger and rhino populations in Chitwan.
Accepting the award, Paudel emphasized inclusivity and community participation in conservation efforts.
“This award belongs to the villagers who live alongside wildlife, the travelers who tread lightly, and the strong women who prove conservation is everyone’s responsibility,” she said.
She also urged collective action against threats such as plastic pollution, irresponsible tourism, and climate change, calling for a future where people and nature coexist in harmony.
Established by Bob and Suvimolmanee (Jang) Dobias in partnership with Xavier Academy, the Bob & Jang Conservation Award honors individuals and organizations advancing conservation and sustainable development in Nepal.
