HAN proposes wellness cuisine promotion for World Tourism Day

KATHMANDU: Hotel Association Nepal (HAN) has proposed promoting wellness tourism and cuisine as part of this year’s World Tourism Day celebrations.
HAN President Binayak Shah attended a meeting of the main organising committee at the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation to discuss preparations for World Tourism Day.
This year’s theme, “Digital Agenda and Artificial Intelligence to Redesign Tourism”, focuses on the use of technology, innovation and digital tools to reshape the tourism industry.
HAN proposed displaying and serving “wellness cuisine” as part of the celebrations to promote wellness tourism in Nepal.
The association also plans to offer special discounted packages to tourists arriving in Nepal on World Tourism Day.
Digital promotional campaigns under the hashtags #NepalCalling and #NepalNow will also be launched as part of the celebrations.
