KATHMANDU: An eight-member delegation of Japanese professional wrestlers paid a courtesy visit to the Nepal Tourism Board (NTB) ahead of their participation in PWXM: Wrestler Castle – The Musical Wrestling Show, scheduled for July 4, 2026, at Nakhipot Youth Club, Lalitpur.

The delegation is led by Tatsumi Fujinami, a legendary Japanese professional wrestler and WWE Hall of Famer, regarded as one of the most respected figures in international professional wrestling. The event is organized by PIG.E. Production Pvt. Ltd.

The delegation members said they were struck by the warm hospitality of the Nepalese people and the country's rich cultural heritage since their arrival, describing their experience as memorable and inspiring.

During the visit, NTB highlighted Nepal's potential for sports tourism, emphasizing the importance of hosting internationally recognized sporting and entertainment events. The board welcomed the participation of the wrestlers, noting that such initiatives help position Nepal as a destination for sports tourism, adventure tourism, and international events while enhancing its visibility among global audiences.

NTB noted that Japan remains one of Nepal's key tourism source markets, and events like this help strengthen tourism ties between the two countries by drawing international sports personalities and their audiences to Nepal.

The board appreciated the organizers' efforts in bringing the event to Nepal and extended its best wishes for its successful hosting.
