NATTA launches Culture and Heritage Tourism Training in Madhesh

KATHMANDU: The Nepal Association of Tour and Travel Agents (NATTA) has launched a four-day Culture and Heritage Tour Training Programme in Simara, Bara, aimed at enhancing the capacity of tourism professionals in Madhesh Province.
According to NATTA, the training, being held from March 19 to 22 at Hotel Shrestha Residency, is organised in collaboration with the Sustainable Tourism Project (STP), a joint initiative of the Nepal Tourism Board (NTB) and UNDP Nepal.
The programme seeks to strengthen knowledge and practical skills related to cultural and heritage tourism among participants, contributing to the promotion of sustainable tourism practices.
The opening session was attended by NATTA Executive Member Yagya Murti Acharya, NATTA Madhesh Province President Mohan Sharma, and Yubraj Lama, among other stakeholders.
More than 35 participants from across Madhesh Province are taking part in the training, which is being supported by NATTA Madhesh Province. The programme is being coordinated by NATTA Executive Member Shradha Joshi.
NATTA said the initiative reflects its continued efforts to build the capacity of tourism professionals and promote sustainable tourism development across the country.
