KATHMANDU: The Nepal Academy of Tourism and Hotel Management (NATHM) is conducting a 10-day Small Hotel and Lodge Management Training in Khandeshwori, Apihimal Rural Municipality, Darchula, from Mangsir 21 to Poush 1, 2082.

The programme is supported by Nepal Tourism Board (NTB), UNDP, and the rural municipality.

The training aims to strengthen rural tourism services and improve hospitality standards along the emerging tourism corridor leading to Api Mountain Base Camp. Local entrepreneurs are being trained in guest handling, accommodation management, kitchen operations, hygiene, and sustainable tourism practices.

The sessions are being facilitated by NATHM experts — Senior Instructor and Training Coordinator Samik Sharma, Kitchen Resource Instructor Bipin Khadka, and Training Assistant Ramhari Shrestha. The team’s practical demonstrations and community-oriented approach have drawn active participation from local residents.

NATHM said it remains committed to enhancing skilled human resources in remote destinations and promoting responsible rural tourism development.
