KATHMANDU: The Nepal Tourism Board (NTB), along with five Nepali co-exhibitors, participated in the Outdoor Adventure Show 2026 held in Toronto, Canada, promoting Nepal as a premier destination for adventure and experiential tourism in the North American market.

According to NTB, the event provided a strategic platform to highlight Nepal’s diverse tourism offerings, including trekking, mountaineering, cultural and heritage tours, wildlife experiences and soft adventure packages tailored for Canadian and broader North American travellers. The participating Nepali companies were Satori Adventures, Nepal Social Treks & Adventure, Nepal Hiking Team, Nepal Dream Travel Service and Asian Adventure Treks & Expedition.

The Nepal Pavilion was described as one of the most visually appealing stands at the exhibition, featuring captivating imagery of the Himalayas, living culture and adventure activities. The stall reportedly witnessed continuous visitor flow throughout the show and drew praise from fellow exhibitors for its presentation and professional branding.

On the opening day, Nepal’s Ambassador to Canada, Bharat Poudel, visited the pavilion and interacted with representatives of the participating companies, extending encouragement and support to the delegation.

Ahead of the trade show, NTB and the Embassy of Nepal, Ottawa jointly organised a “Nepal Evening” programme on February 19 at the The Westin Toronto Airport Hotel. The event featured a focused business-to-business (B2B) session between Nepali and Canadian tour operators, aimed at fostering networking opportunities and prospective business partnerships.

Addressing the Nepal Evening, Ambassador Poudel delivered a keynote speech highlighting Nepal’s diverse tourism products. Surya Thapaliya, Senior Manager at Nepal Tourism Board, presented an overview of Nepal’s tourism offerings, infrastructure developments, improved air connectivity and emerging experiential products, generating interest among Canadian travel trade professionals.

Rishiram Bhandari, Member of the Executive Committee of Nepal Tourism Board, was also present during the events, reflecting NTB’s high-level commitment to strengthening Nepal’s presence in the North American market.

NTB stated that Nepal’s participation in the Outdoor Adventure Show 2026 and the Nepal Evening programme significantly enhanced destination visibility in Canada and reinforced Nepal’s brand as a safe, diverse and world-class tourism destination. The Board expressed appreciation to all participating companies and partners for their collective efforts in promoting Nepal internationally.
