Three-day event brings together 45+ artists from seven countries at Bhrikutimandap

KATHMANDU: The #photoNepal International Group Painting Exhibition concludes today at Nepal Tourism Board's Bhrikutimandap premises, marking the finale of a three-day celebration of the initiative's 100th episode milestone.

NTB CEO Deepak Raj Joshi inaugurated the centenary episode on Friday by creating an artwork on canvas, symbolizing the initiative's creative evolution since its 2016 launch. The exhibition, organized in collaboration with Sushma Art Gallery, has been open from November 28-30, 2025.

The showcase brings together more than 45 Nepali artists, including senior masters and emerging talents, alongside international participants from Russia, the United States, the United Kingdom, Japan, India, Bangladesh and Ghana. Their diverse artworks explore themes rooted in Nepali culture, landscapes, spirituality, urban transitions and contemporary interpretations, positioning Nepal as a rising hub for art tourism.

The exhibition remains open to the public today from 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., offering visitors a final opportunity to experience Nepal's artistic depth through the immersive display.

As part of the broader #photoNepal initiative, NTB operates a dedicated digital photo portal at www.photo.ntb.gov.np, where photographers and enthusiasts can upload and explore images reflecting Nepal's beauty and diversity. The platform currently hosts more than 25,000 photographs contributed by over 11,000 members, collectively portraying Nepal's landscapes, heritage, communities and cultural expressions.

Launched in February 2016 with a photo exhibition featuring renowned Swiss geologist Dr. Toni Hagen, the #photoNepal campaign continues its mission of showcasing Nepal's natural, cultural and human dimensions through regular exhibitions and creative collaborations. The 100th episode milestone represents nearly a decade of visual storytelling and cultural exchange connecting artists, photographers and audiences from Nepal and internationally.
