Nepal tourism gets fresh recognition at PATA Awards

The recognition was presented in Kuching, Malaysia, ahead of PATA Travel Mart 2026.
KATHMANDU: The PATA Nepal Chapter has received the PATA Award of Excellence for another year, earning fresh recognition for its work within the Pacific Asia Travel Association’s global network.
The award was presented at the PATA Chapter & Student Chapter Awards Ceremony in Kuching, Sarawak, Malaysia, ahead of PATA Travel Mart 2026.
According to the PATA Nepal Chapter and Nepal Tourism Board, the recognition reflects the continued efforts of the chapter’s executive committee and secretariat and its active engagement within the PATA network.
The chapter said the award has reaffirmed its position as one of the most active PATA chapters worldwide.
The chapter expressed gratitude to PATA headquarters for the recognition, saying it would further encourage its commitment to sustainable and responsible tourism development in Nepal and beyond.
The Nepal Tourism Board congratulated the chapter on the achievement and acknowledged its contribution to promoting sustainable, responsible and meaningful tourism.
