NTB urges guides, operators, and travellers to share real-time messages from Nepal

KATHMANDU: The Nepal Tourism Board (NTB) has called on the country’s tourism community to unite behind “NepalNOW,” a new campaign designed to reassure global travellers that Nepal is safe, open, and ready for visitors.

The initiative invites trekking agencies, guides, hotels, and travellers to share on-the-spot images declaring “I AM IN NEPAL NOW” or “WE ARE IN NEPAL NOW,” creating an organic social-media wave to boost confidence in Nepal as a destination.

How the campaign works

Print & Distribute Placards: Tourism businesses are encouraged to print A4 or A5 placards with the slogans and hand them to every international visitor, guide, and staff member.

Capture the Moment: Travellers are asked to pose with the placards at scenic or cultural spots and post photos using #NepalNOW and #LifetimeExperiences.

Promote Your Brand: Companies can add their own logo to the placards, gaining visibility while supporting the national effort.

Share & Inspire: Operators are urged to re-share travellers’ posts and explain the campaign’s impact to guests and staff, keeping the message alive.

NTB says each photo shared worldwide helps “rebuild confidence—by coming together for tourism.”

Tourism stakeholders can contact NTB’s Tourist Service Centers in Kathmandu (Bhrikutimandap) or Pokhara (Pardi) for more details.

As Nepal welcomes the autumn trekking season, NTB hopes the NepalNOW campaign will harness the collective power of its tourism fraternity and global visitors to showcase the country’s timeless landscapes and vibrant culture—live and in real time.
