KATHMANDU: The Nepal Tourism Board (NTB) has been honoured with the PATA Long Standing Membership Award, recognising its 60 years of association and contribution to the Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA).
The award was presented during the PATA Annual Summit 2026 held in Gyeongju and Pohang, Republic of Korea, on May 11. The honour was received by NTB’s Officiating Director, Rohini Khanal.
According to NTB, the recognition reflects its long-standing engagement with PATA and continued efforts in promoting regional tourism cooperation, sustainable tourism development, and global tourism promotion.
On the occasion, Nepal’s private sector was also recognised. Yeti Travels was honoured for 60 years of partnership, while Suman Pandey received recognition as a PATA life member.
The summit has brought together tourism leaders, policymakers and stakeholders from across the Asia-Pacific region to discuss the future of resilient and sustainable tourism.
