Sikles welcomes nearly 1,500 visitors In July despite monsoon season

KATHMANDU: Sikles, a popular tourism destination in Kaski district, recorded 1,482 tourist arrivals in July, with domestic travellers continuing to dominate visitor numbers despite the monsoon season.

According to data shared by the NTNC ACAP Sikles Unit, the destination welcomed 1,444 Nepali visitors and 38 international tourists during the month.

Domestic travellers accounted for 97.4 percent of total arrivals, while international visitors made up the remaining 2.6 percent. 

Among Nepali visitors, 982 were male and 462 were female, while the international arrivals included 25 male and 13 female tourists. Overall, Sikles recorded 1,007 male visitors (68 percent) and 475 female visitors (32 percent) in July. 

The figures indicate that domestic tourism remained the primary driver of visitor arrivals in Sikles during the month.

Although international arrivals were comparatively low, foreign visitors continued to contribute to tourism activity despite the seasonal challenges posed by the monsoon.
