Thai festival to light up Lalitpur with culture, cuisine, and brands

‘Journey to Thailand & Top Thai Brands 2025’ runs August 29–31 at The Plaza
KATHMANDU: Lalitpur is set for a splash of Thai flavor later this month as the Royal Thai Embassy in Kathmandu teams up with the Thai Trade Centre, New Delhi, to bring “Journey to Thailand & Top Thai Brands 2025” to The Plaza, Pulchowk, from August 29 to 31.
The three-day festival will serve up Thai cultural shows, authentic cuisine, traditional massage, and handicraft workshops, alongside showcases from Thai businesses, hospitals, and universities.
Visitors can also try their luck in raffles, with prizes including a round-trip ticket to Thailand.
Open to the public with free entry, the event starts with an inaugural ceremony on August 29 and continues through the weekend.
Organizers say the festival is designed to bring Thailand closer to Nepali audiences, blending culture, trade, and tourism in one vibrant showcase.
