TikTok, NTB partners to promote Nepal tourism globally

Creator-led #LifetimeExperiences campaign to spotlight nature, culture, and adventure

KATHMANDU: TikTok has teamed up with the Nepal Tourism Board (NTB) to launch a global campaign aimed at showcasing Nepal’s natural beauty, cultural heritage, and adventure experiences to millions worldwide.

The partnership, unveiled Tuesday, centers on #LifetimeExperiences, a creator-led initiative featuring short-form video storytelling and a dedicated in-app travel experience. Through this campaign, TikTok and NTB will collaborate with both international and Nepali travel creators to highlight Nepal’s diverse landscapes, vibrant festivals, cuisine, arts, and community traditions.

As part of the agreement, NTB will host visiting creators, coordinate in-country hospitality, and provide access to cultural and adventure hotspots across Kathmandu Valley and beyond. Prominent public figures, artists, and cultural ambassadors will also participate to amplify Nepal’s tourism message globally.

To strengthen local impact, TikTok and NTB will conduct three workshops for Nepali travel creators, offering training in digital storytelling, audience engagement, and brand collaborations. In addition, Nepali SMEs and tourism operators will receive guidance on leveraging TikTok to expand their market reach.

“By combining TikTok’s global reach with Nepal’s immersive experiences, this partnership will inspire more travelers to choose Nepal as their next destination,” said Deepak Raj Joshi, CEO of NTB.

Ferdous Mottakin, Head of Public Policy and Government Relations, South Asia at TikTok, added: “Nepal offers some of the world’s most awe-inspiring landscapes and cultural encounters. We are excited to showcase these through TikTok’s global community of creators and travelers.”

The campaign will roll out throughout the rest of 2025, culminating in a #VisitNepal event in Kathmandu that will bring together creators, tourism stakeholders, and cultural representatives to celebrate Nepal as a must-visit global destination.
