KATHMANDU: Nepal Tourism Board and TikTok have launched a three-day workshop in Kathmandu to train tourism professionals, trekking guides, mountaineers, and content creators in digital storytelling, as Nepal looks to sharpen its social media presence under the Visit Nepal Campaign 2026.
The Travel Content Creation Workshop, running from June 24 to 26 under the #visitNepal initiative, brings together tourism entrepreneurs, travel media representatives, and creators for sessions on short-form video production, audience engagement, and responsible content development.
NTB Officiating CEO Hikmat Singh Ayer said digital platforms are playing a growing role in shaping destination choices, and that the TikTok collaboration would help Nepal present authentic stories from across the country to a global audience.
NTB Spokesperson Sunil Sharma said content creators are becoming central to how travellers connect with destinations, and expressed confidence the workshop would equip participants with skills to contribute to both tourism growth and the broader digital economy.
The workshop is part of NTB's wider push to position Nepal competitively in the digital travel space during the Visit Nepal Campaign year, leveraging short-form video to reach younger, globally mobile audiences.
