Meeting to discuss annual progress, budget, statute amendments, and future plans

KATHMANDU: The Trekking Agencies’ Association of Nepal (TAAN) is set to host its 47th Annual General Meeting (AGM) on 31 August 2025 (15 Bhadra 2082) at Alice Reception, Gairidhara, Kathmandu. The meeting will bring together trekking entrepreneurs, stakeholders, and members to discuss the future direction of Nepal’s trekking and adventure tourism industry.

According to TAAN General Secretary Sonam Gyeljen Sherpa, the AGM will feature presentations of the annual progress report and upcoming programs, along with the financial report and budget plan for the new fiscal year. Discussions will also focus on statute and regulation amendments, ensuring TAAN remains responsive to the evolving needs of the trekking sector.

The AGM will also decide on the appointment of an auditor and select representatives to endorse the meeting minutes.

TAAN has urged all its members to actively participate in the assembly, highlighting the importance of collective efforts in promoting trekking destinations and strengthening Nepal’s position as a leading adventure tourism hub.
