KATHMANDU: Trekking permits for all routes in the Annapurna Conservation Area and Manaslu Conservation Area have reopened, according to the National Trust for Nature Conservation (NTNC).

The reopening covers popular routes in the Annapurna region, including the Annapurna Base Camp, Ghandruk, Ghorepani-Poon Hill, Mardi Himal, Khayar Baraha, Jomsom, Muktinath, Upper Mustang, Sikles, Kapuche Lake, Tilicho Lake, Annapurna Circuit and Nar Phu treks.

Routes in the Ghandruk, Jomsom-Upper Mustang, Lwang-Sikles and Manang-Bhujung areas are covered by the permit issuance notice.

All trekking routes in the Manaslu Conservation Area are also open for permit issuance, including routes through Jagat, Filim, Chhekampar and Samagaun.

The NTNC has asked trekkers, licensed guides and trekking agencies to obtain the required permits before starting their journeys and follow official safety guidelines. Permit and checkpost services are available through the respective ACAP and MCAP offices and checkposts.

The notice comes as trekking activity resumes in the affected mountain regions following recent weather-related disruptions and trail closures.
