KATHMANDU: The election for the 2026–28 executive committee of the Nepal Association of Tour and Travel Agents (NATTA) is set for August 14, with three panels led by Bharat Jung Pandey, Jiswan Tuladhar Shrestha and Yubika Bhandari entering the fray.

The three-way contest is expected to determine the leadership of one of Nepal's key tourism-sector organisations at a time when travel and tour operators are seeking stronger policy support, improved business conditions and greater opportunities for the tourism industry.

Bharat Jung Pandey and team

Bharat Jung Pandey of Everest Miracle Travels & Tours is contesting for president under the “Bharat & Team” panel, whose slogan is “Standing Together to Make a Difference.”

The panel has Sunil Sharma of Society Travel Service as senior vice-president, Sabita KC Bhattarai of Arrow Travel and Tours as vice-president and Raj Kumar Devkota of World Favour Travel & Tours as general secretary.

Ramesh Parajuli of Rupse Holidays is contesting for secretary, Diki Sherpa of Thamserku Travel for treasurer and Jeevan Koirala of Hamlet Tours & Travels for joint treasurer.

The executive committee candidates are Dinanath Pandey (Prakash) of Royal Travels & Tours, Dinesh Mainali of Shubham Travels and Tours, Dipak Maraseni of Shodip Travel & Tours, Nabin Gurung of 8 Eyes Travel & Tours, Prakash Lohnani of Prabhat Travel & Tours, Sarala Sapkota of Arya Village Travel, Suman Lal Shrestha of Hamro Holidays and Swastika Pradhan of City Connect Travels & Tours.

Jiswan Tuladhar Shrestha and team

Jiswan Tuladhar Shrestha of Swaa Tours and Travel is seeking the presidency with the “Team Jiswan Tuladhar Shrestha” panel, which has adopted the slogan “Building Bridges | Creating Opportunities | Together for Better NATTA.”

Bishnu Pandey of Himalayan Club Tours & Travels is contesting for senior vice-president, while Pragya Sharma Pathak of Adventure Outdoor Excursion is the vice-presidential candidate.

The panel has Susil Pant of Gorkha International Travels as general secretary, Ramesh Ghimire of Well Nepal Travel & Tours as secretary, Krishna Prasad Dhakal of Kathmandu Holiday Tour & Travel as treasurer and Dr Bimala Dahal of Selected Tours & Travel as joint treasurer.

Its executive committee candidates are Pradeep Acharya of Duke Nepal Adventure Pvt Ltd, Dinesh Ghimire of Shivalaya Holidays, Sudarshan Gajurel of Pearl Holidays, Anu Adhikari (Raut) of Nepal Snow Jewel Travel & Tourism, Rojina Ranjitof Rainbow Travels & Tours and Trilochan Neupane of Intel Roshi Tours & Travel.

Yubika Bhandari and team

Yubika Bhandari of Shashi's Holidays is contesting for president with the “Yubika & Team” panel, which has put forward the slogan “When tourism rises, Nepal rises."

Varun Mehta of Wednesday Tours & Travel is contesting for senior vice-president and Dakhnath Kafle of Holiday Adventures Tours & Travels for vice-president.

The panel has Krishna Prasad Dhakal of Desire Nepal Trekking & Tours as senior general secretary, Shradha Joshi of A.N.T. Holidays as secretary, Rama Kumari Piyakurel of All Destination Holidays as treasurer and Bidur Khatwinde of Jugri Holidays as joint treasurer.

Its executive committee candidates are Pradeep Prasad Udaya of Padam Travels & Tours, Bibash Paudel of Saiyur Travels, Sriram Thapa of S.N.T. Holidays, Smarika Thapa of Buddhish Land Tours & Travels, Sanket Dahal of Green Horizon Tours & Travels, Dr Umesh Gupta of Abhinavayan Expedition Holidays, Hom Bahadur Pariyar of Expert Asian Tours and Rajendra Prasad Tripathi of Golden Gate Travels & Tours.

The election will choose NATTA's leadership for the 2026–28 term, with the three panels seeking support from travel and tour operators across the association.
