KATHMANDU: The 18th edition of the Everest Skydive concluded successfully, transforming the skies above Ama Dablam and Syangboche into a vibrant canvas of athleticism and record-breaking feats.

The event, which ran from November 10 to 13, featured 15 elite skydivers from across the globe and was marked by two historic achievements.

The highlights of this year's jump included Dr. Tanaboworn Sirikunakornkun of Thailand, known as “Super Toom,” who etched his name in the record books by becoming the first Thai national to skydive from the highest altitude while flying a massive 150 m² Thai flag.

In another landmark moment, Olga Naumova executed the first-ever female board jump in the Everest region, setting a significant milestone for women in extreme aerial sports.

According to Everest Skydive General Manager Anuj Pandey, the event proceeded smoothly thanks to ideal weather conditions, with all flights operated by exclusive partner Fishtail Air. The international lineup featured seasoned jumpers from the USA, Italy, Romania, France, Belarus, Thailand, and Saudi Arabia.

The event was supported by its core technical crew, including Paul Henry de Baere, Nadezhda Solovyeva, and Omar Alhegelan, who have been integral to the skydive since its inception in 2008. They were accompanied by a dedicated emergency medical team.

With the successful conclusion of the 2025 event, organizers have announced that the Everest Skydive will return for its 19th edition in 2026, promising new challenges and even more spectacular aerial spectacles.
