KATHMANDU: The Nepal Tourism Board (NTB) has welcomed the announcement of daily direct flights between Pokhara and Dubai by flydubai, set to commence from September 23, 2026, calling it a major breakthrough for international air access to Nepal's tourism capital.
The new service will connect Pokhara directly to Dubai's extensive global network, significantly enhancing Nepal's connectivity with key international tourism and business markets.
NTB said the route is expected to boost tourist arrivals to the region, ease travel for Nepalis residing abroad, and support the growth of tourism, trade, and investment across Gandaki Province and beyond.
The board reaffirmed its commitment to working closely with aviation and tourism stakeholders to maximise the opportunities created by expanded international connectivity, as part of its broader push to position Nepal as a year-round global destination.
