The Himalayan Rescue Association Nepal (HRA) has honoured volunteer doctors who completed seasonal deployments at its high-altitude aid posts in Pheriche, Manang and Everest ER, recognizing their contribution to mountain medicine and rescue services.

At a farewell programme in Kathmandu, HRA praised the doctors for providing critical medical care under challenging high-altitude conditions, supporting trekkers, mountaineers, guides, porters and local residents. The association said their expertise and dedication played a key role in ensuring safe and responsible mountain tourism in Nepal.

On the occasion, HRA also reported that it treated 1,362 patients during the spring mountaineering season through its health facilities in Manang, Pheriche and Everest Base Camp.

According to HRA President Dambar Parajuli, the number of domestic and foreign climbers seeking medical assistance in the Himalayan region has been increasing. Of the total patients, 606 received treatment at Everest Base Camp, 420 at Pheriche and 336 at Manang.
