Manaslu has set a new record for autumn climbing permits, with 422 climbers from 35 expedition teams receiving permits to attempt the 8,163-metre peak this season, according to the latest Department of Tourism data.
Manaslu has emerged as the main focus of Nepal’s autumn climbing season, accounting for 38 of the 45 teams authorised to climb six mountains, according to the latest royalty report.
