KATHMANDU: Yeti Airlines has issued a public appeal to passengers as flights face intermittent delays caused by heavy air traffic at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) and unsettled weather conditions.
The domestic carrier said it is making “continuous, 100% effort” to ensure timely, safe, and comfortable travel, but noted that certain factors remain beyond its control.
“We humbly request your patience during situations affected by congestion and poor weather,” the airline stated in its notice. It further asked travelers to cooperate with ground staff if flights are delayed, thanking customers for their understanding and goodwill.
TIA, Nepal’s main gateway for domestic and international flights, often experiences peak-season congestion—especially during the busy autumn tourism period and major festivals such as Bada Dashain, Tihar, and Chhath, when large numbers of Nepali migrant workers return home to celebrate with their families.
