KATHMANDU: In a heartfelt gesture of solidarity, mountaineer and entrepreneur Tashi Lakpa Sherpa, founder of 14 Peaks Outdoor and 14 Peaks Expedition, has offered emergency relief support worth USD 100,000 to communities affected during Nepal’s ongoing difficult times.

Sherpa announced that his Thamel-based company is ready to provide over 250 camping tents and other essential materials for immediate use.

“If anyone is in need, I’m more than happy to help by providing camping tents and other equipment for relief during this difficult time,” Sherpa said. “Let’s stand together and support each other through this.”

The relief support will be coordinated from 14 Peaks Outdoor, Thamel, with Prem Sherpa (9802364721) serving as the contact point for distribution, Sherpa said. Tashi Lakpa later confirmed that the 207 tents will be handed over to AIG Dan Bahadur Karki, scheduled for this afternoon.

Sherpa said his aim is to assist those in need of temporary shelter and to encourage collective action during challenging times.
