KATHMANDU: The Nepal Tourism Board (NTB) has issued a notice inviting Nepali tourism companies to participate in a series of prominent international tourism fairs scheduled between August and November 2025.

Earlier, NTB had unveiled a budget of Rs 1.59 billion for the fiscal year 2082/83, placing a strong emphasis on improving tourism infrastructure, expanding global promotions, and preparing for emergencies. The budget also included over Rs 436 million for tourism market promotion, Rs 129.5 million for communications and PR.

The NTB budget also stated that NTB will continue to represent Nepal at global travel fairs such as WTM London, ITB Berlin, ATM Dubai, Tourism Expo Japan (JATA) 2025, ITB China 2026, OTM Mumbai, SATTE New Delhi, and launch sales missions across ASEAN, India, China, and South Asia. Branding campaigns will tap into diaspora tourism, film tie-ups, digital media, and influencer marketing, with PR agencies being hired in key markets.

According to the notice published on July 26, the announcement outlines six major events being held in Turkey, Bangladesh, France, Japan, the United Kingdom, and Thailand, offering valuable platforms for Nepal’s travel businesses to network, promote products, and enhance their international presence.

The upcoming fairs include the GlobeMeets B2B Networking Event in Istanbul (September 11–12), ATF Dhaka in Bangladesh (September 18–20), IFTM Top Resa in Paris (September 23–25), Tourism Expo Japan (JATA) in Tokyo (September 25–28), World Travel Market (WTM) in London (November 4–6), and PATA Travel Mart (PTM) in Thailand (August 26–28). Participation fees for these events range from NPR 45,000 to NPR 2,50,000, depending on the destination. Each fair has a capped number of companies that can participate, with slots ranging from 5 to 35.

Interested companies must submit their applications online via the official NTB portal at https://tenders.ntb.gov.np. The online application opens from office hours on July 27, and the deadline for all submissions is July 31, 2025. Applications will be considered on a first-come, first-served basis, subject to the submission of complete documentation, the notice stated.

To be eligible, companies must upload the following: Company Registration Certificate, VAT/PAN Registration Certificate, Tax Clearance Certificate for Fiscal Year 2080/81, a valid tourism license from the concerned authority, and a Foreign Currency Exchange Certificate from Nepal Rastra Bank (except for ATF Dhaka). Additionally, proof of at least three years of company operation is required for all events except ATF Dhaka.

NTB has clarified that participating companies are responsible for all travel logistics, including transportation, accommodation, visa processing, and other associated expenses. Shortlisted companies will be notified via email by the respective NTB desk regarding payment procedures and deadlines.
